Meet Amanda!

Hi! My name is Amanda Foster. I'm a graduate of Indiana University, where I studied Journalism and Broadcast Media. In college, I covered everything from volleyball to men’s soccer to both men’s and women’s basketball programs — at the same time! I dedicated myself to telling the stories no one else was, diving into the personalities of those ultra-successful athletes who, at the end of the day, were also simply my peers who were also trying to navigate college.

My first job out of college was with the Indianapolis Colts, where I worked as the team’s Writing and Podcasting Intern for two seasons. In that time, I was able to discover, understand and share countless stories about athletes from all walks of life – and my favorite ones usually had very little to do with the product on the football field. I began to see what my true passion was: serving my community through meaningful storytelling. That ultimately led me to switching up my career path to pursue something that would feel more fulfilling and allow me to make a difference, while still getting to tell impactful and important stories.

I knew I still wanted to work in sports, so I took the leap into the world of athlete nonprofits and foundations, jumping headfirst into managing social media accounts, creating website content, writing newsletters and more. Thanks to my background in journalism and reporting, my eye for detail and impactful stories is what drives me to create meaningful and original content, no matter the form. I know how to interview and ask the right questions, I understand what fans and the public want to know and, above all, I know how to connect with people.

Nonprofits and foundations, especially those founded by athletes, are often home to the richest and most inspiring stories there are. Let me tell yours.
